• What are your views on the preferred heavy vehicle charge increase of 6 per cent in 2026–27.

  While KTS Recycling accept an overall increase of 6%, we believe that vehicles older than 10 years old should have a higher registration fee than newer vehicles. This will encourage organisations to upgrade their fleets to newer vehicles. The benefit of encouraging newer vehicles is that they have better air pollution and safety controls and are more likely to be roadworthy than older vehicles.
