• What are your views on the preferred heavy vehicle charge increase of 6 per cent in 2026–27.

  While WM Waste Management Services supports a 6 per cent increase in the heavy vehicle charge, we believe it should be increased further for older vehicles, say per 2015 and less for new vehicles. The effect will be to encourage the use of newer vehicles which have better safety and environmental features than older vehicles.
