The NTC's role is to support ongoing review and maintenance of compliance tools, to ensure they remain consistent with their policy intent.
The NTC, in consultation with our stakeholders, develops and maintains compliance tools for the transport industry, which may include laws, rules, guidelines and codes.
The NTC’s role is to support regulators with advice on how to ensure these tools remain relevant and up to date with best practice.
Laws and codes are administered by the relevant state or territory or by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, while guidelines are used to assist with interpreting laws and regulations and are not legally binding.
