Build Your Own SMART Heavy Vehicle
Design and build your own SMART Heavy Vehicle on an interactive CD-ROM program. Simply design your own SMART Heavy Vehicle and see how it performs against a semi-trailer when turning a 90 degree corner (low speed off-tracking standard). To download the program click on the link below and follow the instructions.

Right click and save the file below to your hard drive.

If you have a dial-up connection, email your address and contact details for a CD version to: ntc@ntc.gov.au
To run the SMART demo program:

Run the self-extracting zip file “install.exe” and select the directory where you wish to install the program

To begin, double-click the file “run.htm” in the installation directory.

Note: you may wish to create a shortcut to this file on the desktop (right-click ? send to ? desktop(create shortcut))

To begin, open Internet Explorer. Go to the toolbar and select ‘File’ and then ‘Open’ and type in the link: C:\Program Files\smart truck\run.htm and press ‘OK’.

If you have chosen to save the program in another location, select ‘Browse’ and locate the directory with the ‘smart truck’ folder in it and open the ‘Run’ program.

Once the SMART truck demo has opened go to ‘Favourites’ and ‘Add to Favourites’. You can now automatically open the demo by going to ‘Favourites’ and selecting the program from your list.
Low Speed Swept Path
The primary purpose of this standard is to manage safely the risk associated with turns at intersections by limiting the road space required by a vehicle participating in the PBS Scheme when making low-speed turns.
